General. Geodiversity – the natural range of geological, geomorphological and soil features – is one of the main research topics of RFASE. Most of our work revolves around geomorphological mapping, and a related method for assessing the value – the geoconservation potential – of the mapped landforms has been developed. Results of this work are presented in the book . Composite map of all 16 sheets of the map of Russia in Europe. This map is original to the Atlas Marksa, based on Russian surveys fully detailed in the atlas preface, but of note is the use of the sheet survey by I.A.
